Green Gas is biogas which is upgraded to natural gas quality. Once fed into the gas grid, green gas give the same performance as natural gas, but without a long cyclic CO2emissions.
Green gas as transport fuel

Green gas as alternative biomass
Making electricity out of biogas results in an energetic efficiency of 30 - 40% electricity and 30 - 40 % heat. In most cases there is no purpose for this heat which results in loss of energy.
Green gas offers an energetic efficiency of 95-100% and can be stored for late usage.
Making green gas out of biogas is on many locations economically more interesting than electricity production and is resulting in a higher reduction of green house gas emission.
